LEGAL WRITING

For me, writing is like pulling teeth; it’s always taken far longer than it should to write and even longer to edit. In an attempt to remedy this I will be taking a CLE on just that: legal writing. I found the class while checking out Eric Turkewitz’s New York Personal Injury Blog, in his review of The Curmudgeon’s Guide to Practicing Law.

The class is Advanced Legal Writing & Editing and is being taught by Brian Garner, the editor in chief of Black’s Law Dictionary and co-author of Making Your Case: The Art of Persuading Judges, along with Justice Scalia.

It looks to be a great class. I’ll post a review when it’s done. Maybe I’ll find some better cliches to use.
