David david david… rumors are floating about that you have a nasty habit of egging on your fellow attorneys. I find it very difficult to understand why lawyers who are doing the bidding of partners, get so fired up about cases they are TOLD to tend to and their outcome. There is such a thing as passion for what you do, and then there is strange, head-first, swan-diving into what you do even when it doesn’t effect the outcome. The partners are the movers and shakers and the counselors are just earning a living. Not making any accusations, just serving food for thought… Relax dude.
You could have just emailed me instead of making the single-most retarded comment ever to grace this blog.
Even so, I engage my fellow attorneys in animated discourse, which can include “egging people on” to some extent. But it’s really easy to avoid. I won’t follow anyone into a hallway if they don’t want to talk to me. No one has to talk to me. In most cases, I’d prefer it if they didn’t.
You can think what you want, but I don’t believe you can be passionate about what you do and be satisfied with “just earning a living.”
Aside from all that, this isn’t the place to give me food for thought. Talk to me in person or email me.
David Please Egg Me On. Dare me to be better and bolder.
David is about Justice in the process as in “due process.” Not the outcome which is factually dependent. If the process is warped forget about justice.
